Standard 10: Proffesional and Ethical behavior
Throughout my experience as a Masters student at Westminster, methods placement and student teaching I understand, adhere to and uphold all university policies and federal and state laws. I also maintain professional moral, and ethical conduct and hold others acceptable to do the same. I diligently completed all background checks and fingerprinting and other requirements necessary to obtain a student teaching license.
I am also up to date on the rules and polices regarding license renewal, upgrades, and plan on completing these requirements in a timely manner. Those rules and regulations can be found here: www.schools.utah.gov/cert/default.aspx
In a letter of recommendation from my Westminster advisor Kalani Eggington , she provides clear examples of my commitment to professionalism in the classroom. She writes, "Dallen is well prepared, punctual, dependable, professional in demeanor and eager to receive feedback." To see the complete letter of recommendation click here.
I have also worked in Salt Lake School Districts after program as an assistant coordinator where I exemplified developing appropriate student-teacher relationships as defined in the rules, law, and policy. In a letter from my supervisor Kelley Empey, she wrote, "Dallen’s interactions with the students are very impressive. He listens to each student and makes them individually feel special. He exceptionally balances discipline and being playful with the students whom all respect and love being around him." To see this letter click here.

During my student teaching, I maintained accurate instructional and non-istructional records by correcting papers and input the grades in the grade book as well as putting them into powerschool. I also worked with two kids who had IEP's and went to all meetings and consultations regarding these students. I maintained integrity and confidentiality concerning these students and all matters concerning these consultations.
